2015 saw lowest naxal violence in six years .

It has been more than 6 years since the launch of the operation Green Hunt , an operation against the Naxals . More than 1 lakh paramilitary personnels, CRPF JAWANS and other reserved battalions have taken the charge of this operation . This operation seems to have gained momentum as 2015 recorded the lowest naxal violence in 6 years. This could not have been possible without the help of all the personnels who safeguard the integrity of this nation and even sacrifice their life for it .
Some of the facts supporting the truth are:
In 2010 there took place 2213 incidents due to which 1005 people lost their life whereas in 2011 , 1706 incidents took life of 611 people.
In 2014 the number reduced by 50 percent to 310 of which 222 were civilians and 88  personnels lost their life .In counter attacks , 63 Naxals were killed 1696 cadres arrested and 676 surrendered.155 attacks were made on the security forces and 221 were direct encounters.
2015 did was the least violent year in terms of Naxal attacks , but people did lose their life . The casualities were 266 of which 165 were civilians.18 Maoist were killed, a huge of 1688 were arrested and 570 surrendered .118 attacks on security forces and 247 direct encounter took place.
The less violence in 2015 is a step towards complete peace and harmony which is  necessary for the country's growth .
