TECHIES TURN 3 VILLAGES OF MADHYA PRADESH INTO FREE Wi-Fi ZONES .

Digital India is an initiative by Government of India to ensure that Government services are available to citizens electronically by improving online infrastructure and by increasing Internet connectivity .
Inspired from this idea , four techies from Madhya Pradesh have turned three villages into free Wi-Fi zones without any government funding. Shakeel Anjum, Tushar Barthare, Bhanu Yadav, Abhishek had launched this service in Shivnathpura village on 2nd October and  extended these facilities to Bawadikheda, Jagir, Devria on 1st Jan. They had invested Rs 2 Lakhs to set up the infrastructure for the free service  .
Anjum , one of the techies said ,"We wanted to ensure that this is done at a minimum cost and even in a village like Bawadikheda Jagir where infrastructure is poor".
Lal Singh a government teacher said that he bought a laptop after getting the Wi-Fi connectivity service .
He said ," I am a government teacher and each student is being mapped as per government instructions ."
Earlier , in order to make the entries he had totravel to the nearest town , to avail internet service and do GIS mapping . Now , he has not only mapped his own school , but has also helped 22 schools from the nearby localities to do the same from his laptop at home.
The District collector Tarun Pithode said ," We are trying to get funds from elected representatives so that we can make the entire district digital and they have agreed too.But making it free everywhere is not feasible ".

If more villages come ahead to take these type of initiatives then by 2020 , the aim of getting  Wi-Fi connectivity in at least two lakh villages will be surely achieved .
